OTP Podcast: Episode 4 – Feed The Yak
I like Staines
Despite the international break, the Off The Post Podcast is back again to fill your ear canals with facts and stats about European games that you couldn’t care less about, as well as all the thrills and spills of transfer deadline day.
Stu is back from his intimate camping trip with Arsene Wenger so for the first time this season, we have a full strength line-up (although due to congestion on the Staines Bypass “impact player” Alex could only come off the bench late on to take part in proceedings). Regardless, we still managed to cobble together some vaguely coherent audio for you to enjoy.
So in this week’s OTP Euro 2012 Qualifier/Deadline Day Special™ expect some of the following: penalty drama in the Indian Ocean Island Cup, a potted footballing history of San Marino, getting mouthy in Paraguay, why playing Angry Birds is more fun than sitting on the Italian subs bench, and much more.
Have some of that.
Ever wondered what happens when a team wins the Indian Ocean Island Cup 4-3 on penalties? Thought so. Well wonder no more…..
This special DVD offering from shouty Sky Sports Scotsman Jim White should tide you over until January’s transfer window. What you sayin’?
This Paraguayan top flight match between Rampla Juniors and Racing Club saw Rampla’s Nicolas Guevara literally try to bite off more than he could chew, and be duly rewarded with an early bath. Tasty.
Despite searching deep through the OTP archives we don’t know where this happened, why it happened, or who was involved. All we know is that it involves a stretcher, a vicious attack with a shoe, and some dodgy subtitles. If you have any idea what this is all about then please get in touch. Please.
30 yards. Backheel. Volley. Lob. The bar for own goal of the season has already been set very high by Spanish defender Inigo Martinez in this U21 match against Georgia. Sublime.
