Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli set for £150,000 fine over late night curry
Mario Balotelli is in line for a big fine from Manchester City after breaking a club curfew to satisfy his need for curry.
The Italian reportedly enjoyed an Indian meal with friends in the early hours of Sunday morning, despite City’s being in action against Chelsea this evening.
The late night meal – less than 48 hours before kick-off – broke a curfew for City players and is likely to earn Balotelli a fine of one week’s wages.
The 21-year-old dined at Manchester’s Zouk restaurant. The chances of keeping his curry under wraps were already slim, but they became nigh-on impossible when he staged a mock sword fight with a friend – using a rolling pin as his weapon, the Daily Star reports.
