Four England internationals showcased their culinary skills to help raise money for Sport Relief last night.
Tottenham’s Scott Parker, Arsenal’s Theo Walcott, Liverpool’s Glen Johnson and West Ham’s Robert Green all took part in the Saturday Kitchen Omelette Challenge.
No, making an omelette might not usually be associated with the word challenge, but that title proved to be perfectly suited to the Premier League stars’ efforts. In fact, if you’re happy to accept that you’re probably not quite as good at football as them, it’s quite reassuring to watch the glaring deficiencies in other areas of their skill-set!
Walcott fancies himself as a bit of a chef, but unfortunately the challenge is based on speed and it turns out he’s not as pacy in the kitchen as on the pitch. The challenge is eventually won by first-time omelette maker Johnson after Green was red-carded for turning off Green’s hob!
