Kendal Town FC have signed possibly the weirdest sponsorship deal, with American firm Rosetta.

Rosetta make a product called the ‘Beard Beardie’, a woolly hat that includes a fake beard to keep the face warm. And they look ridiculous.

The Beard Beanies seem like an April Fools joke product, but apparently they have had huge sales in the US. And the funniest thing is that the players are contractually obliged to wear the hats when they train and travel to games, and that fans can buy their own KTFC versions from the club shop for £20.

And people say that clubs will do anything for money.
