The Blackburn fans’ ‘Kean Out’ campaign has been relentless over the last few months, including flying the message over Ewood Park and displaying banners at the London 2012 Olympics.
And yet the under-fire manager has seemed untouchable as far as the club’s owners were concerned… until now.
After more than a season of poor football and disappointing results – topped with relegation last season – Venky’s have finally named the straw that would potentially break the camel’s back: losing their first three games in the Championship.
The BBC reports:
Asked at a supporters’ forum if Kean will be axed if they lose three times in a row, Singh said: “Yes.”
He had earlier been asked about the possibility of Kean being sacked, replying: “If we lose three games, definitely. Definitely.”
But Singh added he will not rush to make a judgement about Kean.
At a club that’s seen its fair share of bizarre situations over the last couple of years, that third game will be very peculiar if Rovers have already lost the first two. Who will the fans be supporting?
