German referee Dr Felix Brych gave himself an unexpected public shower as he attempted to have a drink of water.

The tradtional bottle of water obviously doesn’t have quite enough vorsprung durch technik for the Bundesliga, so the hapless official had to try his luck with a strange water sachet.

The 37-year-old asked Hannover keeper Ron-Robert Zieler for some advice on how to tackle the sachet. Whatever input Zieler offered didn’t do much good as Brych succeeded only in bursting the sachet over his face.
