Fulham v Wigan didn’t look like a tough match to referee on paper, but it’s one that Lee Probert will still be feeling tomorrow morning.

The hapless match official got himself caught as the meat in a footballer sandwich. Both Fulham’s Steve Sidwell and Wigan’s Ben Watson lunged in on the ref as they went for the ball.

Probert had visibly had the wind taken out of his sails. But he had soon recovered enough to show red cards to both players in jest.
