SER 0-1 ENG (U21) by Ricardo109x
England Under 21′s qualified for the European Championships with a 0-1 win in Serbia this evening – but the result was overshadowed by Danny Rose’s very clear indication that he felt he had been racially abused.
Connor Wickham’s late effort – scored on the counter attack with Serbia’s keeper forward searching for a vital goal – secured a 0-2 aggregate win for Stuart Pearce’s men.
There was then some nasty exchanges as fans, players and backroom staff of both teams clashed on the pitch. Among the mayhem, Tottenham youngster Rose – currently on loan at Tottenham – was shown a second yellow card for belting the ball away in anger.
As he made his way down the tunnel, he gestured to signal exactly why he was so wound up.
Ball’s in your court, Uefa.
