Baku FC appoint manager on Football Manager experience

Vugar Guloglan oglu Huseynzade is a hero, and that will never change.

Azerbaijan Premier League side FC Baku recently sacked former Olympiakos defender Bozdar Bandovic due to their position within the relegation zone.

Former European footballer of the year Jean-Pierre Papin applied for the job, and has previously managed Strasbourg and Lens. However Papin was overlooked in favour of Huseynzade, whose CV includes ten years of playing Football Manager.

The new gaffer (presumably still pinching himself), has taken it all in stride and believes that he can take FC Baku to the Europa League in three years. And if it all goes wrong, he promises to not take over at another side and offer huge amounts for FC Baku players in a bid to raise transfer funds.

Seriously though, alongside Kim Kardashian’s underwear advisor, that is the zenith for teenage boys. Vugar has completed life.

Seriously man. Do some research!!! The guy’s dad is an investor at the club. He has worked as an advisor at the club and recently worked with their A team (reserves) as well. Prior to this, he worked as a scout for a sports consultancy firm in Sweden. Sure, the FM stuff makes a good story … but at least give us all the other details as well.
