Last week we brought you news that Zlatan Ibrahimovic had been sent off for a flying kick on the St Etienne goalkeeper, but at least with that one there was a ball in the vicinity.

For Gaston Cellerino of Union La Calera, that excuse ain’t gonna wash.

After the striker was sent off for a second bookable offence with his side 2-0 down, he appeared to push the face of Wanderers goalkeeper Mauricio Viana, who went down nice and easily.

As a punishment for such casual dramatisation, Cellerino then thought it appropriate to kung-fu kick the goalkeeper in the chest, flattening him in the process.

One suspects that the player can expect a reasonably stern call from the Chilean FA this morning, along with a lengthy ban.
