Brazilian Breno signs for Sao Paulo despite being in prison for three years

São Paulo have agreed a deal to sign Brazilian defender Breno after his release from Bayern Munich. All very normal so far.

The deal is not that standard, however, when you consider that Breno is six months into a three-and-a-half year prison sentence for arson, having set fire to his own house in Munich.

He was said to be suffering from depression at the time, which makes the signing from São Paulo a slightly strange idea, especially as they have given his a three-year deal upon his release.

Not wuite sure what Sao Paulo are thinking, but lets hope that Breno practices his skills in his prison cell, and gets his mental health in order.
