It has been confirmed that alongside Loic Remy (fee of £8m, contract worth £18m), QPR have today signed Christopher Samba from Anzhi. The defender will cost £12.5m and has been given a four-and-a-half year deal worth £100,000 per week. Wayne Rooney might be disliked by fans of opposing teams, and there is no doubt he is an objectionable fellow, but it does seem a touch harsh of Manchester United to make the England striker look like Adolf Hitler.
The similarity can be seen on a United scarf, with the shadowing effect looking like a toothbrush moustache and the fold in the scarf looking like the dictator’s sweeping fringe.
