The Bantams are still punching above their weight.
After knocking Arsenal out of the Capital One Cup, Bradford have now put Aston Villa on the back foot with a stunning 3-1 win in last night’s semi-final first-leg at Valley Parade last night.
Striker Nahki Wells gave the League Two side a first-half lead, and centre-back Rory McArdle made it 2-0 on 77 minutes. Andreas Weimann pulled one back for Villa before a late Carl McHugh header gave Bradford a two-goal advantage to take to Villa Park.
A special mention is needed for Bantams keeper Matt Duke, who was outstanding throughout.
