Whilst clubs embarking on Asian tours in pre or mid season is nothing unusual. However, PSV have broken the mould markedly.
After a 2-0 defeat to Muanthong United, the players seeming punishment was to visit Klong Prem prison, one of the biggest jails in the country.
The players took a tour of the prison before they were invited to take on a team in the courtyard of the jail.
One imagines that there was a great deal of “oh no, after you” for fear of getting a price put on your head, in a match played out in front of many other prisoners.
Surely just stick to playing actual professional clubs?
