With Arsenal not playing this midweek, Lukas Podolski decided he’d been in London for a while now and really ought to see some of the sites.
The Germany international hopped into a black cab and got the driver to take him to some of the capital’s main tourist sites. At each stop, Podolski jumped out to take photos, and many of them were immediately shared with his Twitter followers.
He began his tour by posting the photo above, tweeting: “Starting my London tour from #N5 in a real black cab!”
The 27-year-old’s stops included St Paul’s, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and the London Eye.
At Buckingham Palace, he observed: “the Queen is home!!!”
The tour finished at Highbury, with Podolski claiming it was the “last stop and the best one too!”.
