We’re all for English players moving abroad, because it shows a degree of balls that very few exhibit.

However, Scott Carson isn’t exactly doing his bit for spreading the word of English goalkeeping, with numerous blunders whilst at Bursaspor.

In his latest gaffe, Carson ran off his line against Gaziantepspor in order to clear the ball from the onrushing forward. Instead of just volleying or heading the ball clear, Carson tried to control the ball on his knee. Forgetting for a minute that his skill level was insufficient to carry out the skill, the ball bounced awkwardly off Carson, allowing the striker to steal the ball off him and tuck the ball into the empty net.
