Michael Laudrup is hoping to scare his Swansea players into action for Sunday’s Capital One Cup final by showing them a DVD of opponents Bradford’s giant-killing exploits to date.
The Swans boss wants to guard against complacency from his Premier League stars when they face the League Two Bantams at Wembley, and he thinks a DVD will do the trick.
He said: “I can show the DVDs from the Wigan game, the Arsenal game and the two games against Aston Villa.”
Laudrup admitted his side were the favourites to lift the trophy, although he said they were underdogs as well.
He continued: “It’s not the underdog against one of the big teams, it’s under-under-underdog against the underdog, so it’s a strange final in that way, but again the two finalists have beaten Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Wigan on their way, just mentioning the Premier League sides, so it is special.
“We accept being favourites, even if it’s a final and normally in a final everything is uncertain, so we have to accept it we are the team from the highest league.”
