Tottenham fans attacked in Lyon by masked gang
After Spurs fans were attacked during their trip to Rome three months ago, they probably deserved a break on their trip to Lyon for the second leg of their Europa League last-32 tie.
However, three fans have been hospitalised after ugly scenes when 150 Spurs supporters were attacked whilst having a drink in one of Lyon’s pubs.
Fans were in the Smoking Dog pub in the city centre when 50 masked men smahed their way into the pub and threw cast itron chairs and flares around. It is suspected that the attackers were far right extremists, aiming their violence at fans of Spurs due to their links to the Jewish community.
