The new England kit has been revealed through the medium of a slightly strange tweet from Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere.
The midfielder posted a photo of the new kit on his Twitter account with the message: “Like this kid, my England dream began here, so he was first in #theshirt – England’s new kit from @NikeFootball.”
The kit is the first to be produced under England’s new shirt deal with Nike. It looks like they’ve decided they couldn’t venture too far away from some of the understated recent Umbro kits for fear of a backlash.
Perhaps the most notable thing is that the red of St George has been ditched for the return of navy trim.
Other than that, take the Three Lions away and it would probably double-up as a USA kit.
What do you reckon?
