Asmir Begovic has confirmed he wants to follow manager Tony Pulis through the door at Stoke City.
Following Pulis’ exit, the goalkeeper has gone public to announce that he intends to move to Liverpool this summer.
He said: “I want to start preparing on July 10, with all the players of Liverpool.”
The Bosnian has previously been linked with possible transfers to Manchester United and Liverpool, but is expected to make a £15 million move to Anfield.
If the Reds complete a deal for the 25-year-old, that would pave the way for current stopper Pepe Reina to move to Barcelona.
Meanwhile, the Potters already have 20-year-old Jack Butland lined up as their first-choice keeper after signing him in January.
They are also reported to be lining up a move for FC Twente’s 19-year-old goalkeeper Timo Plattel to provide more competition.
