The culture of disrespect and even violence against referees is something that needs to be outlawed, but even bearing that in mind you have to feel sorry for PSG defender Thiago Silva.
When his side had been awarded a goal kick, the Brazilian went to question the official over an earlier incident, and literally brushed past the referee. The man in yellow seemed to hugely overreact, giving Silva a straight red card for the incident that looked to have nothing in it whatsoever.
A publicity-hungry ref or a necessary measure to curb disrespect? What do you think?
