Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard says he would love to link-up with Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
The Blues have been linked with a move for Rooney is recent days, with Jose Mourinho acknowledging he would like Rooney at the club. Any potential move would go down very well with their Belgian midfielder.
Hazard said: “Rooney would be a brilliant signing. He’s a great player who has the experience and he’s still only young, at 27.
“But it’s not up to me.”
Hazard also talked up the abilities of compatriot Christian Benteke. He said the Aston Villa striker is ready to move to a big club.
Although he is also a reported target for Chelsea, Hazard stopped short of touting his international team-mate for a move to Stamford Bridge.
He said: “He had an unbelievable first season for a young striker in the Premier League.
“His dream is to play even higher. I think he’s got all the attributes to do well at a big club.”
