Everton are close to agreeing a deal that will see Granada left-back Guilherme Siqueira join the club… if they lose Leighton Baines to Manchester United.
The Toffees are making contingency plans in case former boss David Moyes lures Baines to Old Trafford.
Siqueira, aged 27, is Roberto Martinez’s preferred replacement. Everton representatives have been in talks with Granada to discuss the details of a £4 million deal, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The player is also close to reaching an agreement on his personal terms, both both Granada and Siqueira have been told that the deal will not go ahead if Baines stays at Goodison Park.
