Joey Barton’s agent accepts the blame for his late return to QPR pre-season training
For the record, I am brilliant at a lot of things but telepathy, isn't one.

Joey Barton’s agent, Willie McKay, says he is the reason that his client turned up two days late for pre-season training with QPR.
The former Manchester City and Newcastle midfielder has enjoyed a successful season on loan at French side Marseille. When he failed to report for pre-season training, rumours started that he might have gone AWOL in order to force through a permanent move.
But McKay says it was his fault for giving Barton the wrong return date.
He told the Daily Telegraph: “It’s my fault – I told Joey that it was Wednesday.
“There is no way he would want to report late for pre-season.”
QPR boss Harry Redknapp appeared a tad more cynical about the 30-year-old’s tardiness.
He said: “He wants to go to Marseille and he did very well there last year, but he’s got two years left of his deal here.
“I think he’s looking for the club to give him a payday here and then he’ll go. I don’t know how it’s all going to end.
“He was sent the same information as every other player – that was to report for training on Monday.”
Barton took to Twitter to suggest that he would have needed “telepathy” to turn up for training on the right day.
