John Terry’s dad, Ted Terry, has been charged with racially aggravated assault.

The allegations against 59-year-old follow an incident in Fenchurch Street, London, at around 8pm on March 22.

He was formally charged when he answered police bail.

QPR defender Anton Ferdinand, who an FA disciplinary panel found had been racially abused by John Terry in 2011, couldn’t resist a bit of a dig at the Terry family.

He tweeted: “Don’t u just love it when ur music is on shuffle.”

The message was accompanied by a screenshot of a song called “Like Father, Like Son” playing on his phone.

Terry was cleared of racially abusing Ferdinand in court.
