Sevilla’s president says he has not received any offers for striker Alvaro Negredo – and warned his Premier League suitors that there is no cut-price deal to be done.
Negredo is thought to be a target for Tottenham and Manchester City, but Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido says neither club has yet made an offer for his club’s star player.
He said: “Sevilla have an asking price for Negredo and if it isn’t met, he will play for Sevilla next season. Tomorrow he will sleep in Seville and then he will start training with the team again.
“There have been no offers from English football, not from City, not from Tottenham.”
Del Nido reportedly held talks with City chief-executive Ferran Soriano yesterday, but that doesn’t appear to have led to a firm offer from the Premier League runners-up.
