Brazilian side Internacional claim they are yet to receive a single bid for striker Leandro Damiao.
The 23-year-old is a long-term Tottenham target who has filled many a gossip column over the last few transfer windows. But with a move to White Hart Lane never seeming to materialise, recent reports suggested that Southampton had stolen a march on Spurs and made an £18 million bid.
But that has been refuted by Internacional’s director of football Luis Cesar Souto de Moura, who sounds a little bit like a man with lots of watchers on his eBay but no bidders.
he told ‘Esporte Interativo: “Nothing has come, clubs from everywhere sound him out all the time, but we don’t even consider that anymore, as there are too many enquiries but offers never come.
“I am working with the idea of keeping the player, so that he doesn’t leave.”
Spurs boss Andre Villas Boas has previously claimed that the Brazil international’s third-party ownership make transfer negotiations difficult.
