Manchester United manager David Moyes voiced his frustration at relentless questioning about Wayne Rooney’s future while confirming that the striker is not for sale at any price.
Speaking in Thailand during the club’s tour of Asia, Moyes said: “Well, unless I was speaking double-Dutch I think we said Wayne Rooney’s not for sale.”
He continued: “I think people are entitled to talk about good players, you know, I’m getting asked plenty of questions about Wayne, and I’m sure Jose [Mourinho, Chelsea manager] will be getting asked about lots of players as well.
“Again, it’s hard to keep repeating myself but I will do, Wayne’s a Manchester United player and will remain that.”
Moyes also confirmed that the champions are actively chasing transfer targets of their own.
