Chelsea have snapped up former Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer on a free transfer.
The veteran Aussie left Craven Cottage recently after turning down a new contract with Martin Jol’s side. Instead, the 40-year-old has signed a one-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
He is likely to be on the bench, providing competition for Blues goalie Petr Cech.
Schwarzer said: “It’s a phenomenal club.
“It’s one of the biggest and best clubs in the world, and it’s an honour to sign for Chelsea. I didn’t take much convincing to come here.”
