Will Arsenal be happy about Lukas Podolski driving a car at 170mph?

Posted by - July 7, 2013 - Arsenal, Germany

Most footballers have things written into their contract that prevent them from doing certain activities for fear of injury. Bungee jumping and sky diving are just two of the things often ruled out, although Jon Parkin is also not allowed within two miles of a Burger King.

Whether or not Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski has anything forbidding him from driving cars at 170mph we don’t know, but can’t imagine that Arsene Wenger would be too pleased if the German international sustained any injuries whilst throwing a vehicle around the Nurburgring.

In recent times, members of the public have been allowed on a newer, slightly safer course, but Podolski shunned such thoughts by sticking to the 14-mile world famous track.

Maybe a little word in the ear given Arsenal’s injury record of late, eh?
