Arsenal are plotting a double raid on Dutch side PSV Eindhoven for Georginio Wijnaldum and Zakaria Bakkali.
Reports in Holland suggest the Gunners are interested in bringing both youngsters to the Emirates.
Voetbal International claims that Peter Clarke, who scouts players in whom the club has already established serious interest, watched PSV’s opening league match against Den Haag at the weekend. It’s believed he was running the rule over both players.
Playmaker Wijnaldum is a 22-year-old Netherlands international who joined PSV from Feyenoord for £4m switch in 2011.
Bakkali, a 17-year-old Belgium youth international, is a right winger who has been named in his nation’s senior squad for tonight’s match against France.
He became the youngest player to score an Eredivisie hat-trick in just his second appearance for PSV last season. He is rated very highly by the club.
He was reportedly a target for Manchester City in 2011 but opted to stay in Holland.
