Liverpool will have to pay £6.1m for Tiago Ilori

Sporting Lisbon will demand £6.1m from Liverpool for the signing of Tiago Ilori.

Reports in the Portuguese media claim that an opening bid of £2.5m from the Reds is well short of Ilori’s price tag.

A Bola claims that the 20-year-old will only be allowed to move to Anfield if Brendan Rodgers stumps up around €7m for the Portugal Under 21 international.

Liverpool are keen to bolster their defensive ranks after Sebastian Coates was ruled out for around six months with a serious knee injury.

IAyre must be preparing to negotiate the 0.1m additional charged by Sporting from what was discussed earlier. Someone should check Levy’s schedule, won’t be surprised if he is on a Lisbon flight.
