Stoke City have joined the host of Premier League clubs battling for Scott Sinclair’s signature.
Potters boss Mark Hughes wants to raid his former club Manchester City for the 24-year-old winger.
Everton, West Brom and Newcastle have already emerged as potential destinations for the £6m-rated former Swansea man. He is deemed surplus to requirements after failing to make an impression at the Etihad following his arrival last summer.
Hughes’ interest has been prompted by the knee injury sustained by USA international Brek Shea during the club’s pre-season tour to the States. That’s left his squad looking a bit lightweight down the left-wing.
West Brom are currently in pole position to sign Sinclair but they want to take him on loan, whereas City would prefer to hold out for a permanent deal.
