North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are set for a January transfer battle over French full-back Sebastien Corchia.
As we reported yesterday, the Sochaux right-back – also comfortable at left-back – has made it clear that a move in the next transfer window is a distinct possibility.
The 22-year-old was linked with a move to Arsenal over the summer, but Spurs are also reportedly interested.
The Metro claims Andre Villas Boas’ scouts have been monitoring the France Under-21 international for some time and that a bid for the £7m-rated defender could be made in January.
They quote Corchia as saying: “I can leave Sochaux in January – the club have spoken with interested clubs.”
Corchia has also been tracked by Marseille and Lyon in recent months.
