Burnley are bracing themselves for January transfer bids for star striker Danny Ings.
Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Sunderland are reported to be among a host of Premier League clubs looking very closely at the Championship forward.
The 21-year-old has seven goals in nine games so far this season as Sean Dyche’s side find themselves fourth in the league.
Now the Clarets are expected at bids from top-flight clubs when the transfer window re-opens.
They rate Ings, signed from Bournemouth for £1m in 2011, at £7m and hope that will keep his suitors at bay.
Having have already lost strikers Jay Rodriguez (sold to Southampton for £7m) and Charlie Austin (sold to QPR for £4m) in the last 15 months, the Clarets would like to keep Ings at Turf Moor.
