Arsenal are keeping an eye on the progress of Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho after he impressed during the FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
The 17-year-old is said to have attracted the Gunners’ attention with his four goals against Mexico in the tournament, which is being hosted in the United Arab Emirates.
The Daily Mail reports that chief scout Steve Rowley is in the UAE to pick out potential stars during the competition. Midfielder Iheanacho is said to have been identified as a potential target after his match-winning performance, which you can watch in the video above.
The youngster currently plays for Taye Academy in his homeland. But the Gunners will have to work quickly to tie-up a deal as his performances for his international side have attracted interest from a host of top European teams.
