Porto defender Nicolas Otamendi will join Chelsea in the summer, according to media reports in Spain.
Marca claims that a deal has already been agreed that will see the Argentinian centre-back become a Blues player at the end of the current campaign.
The two clubs are said to have held talks about a possible move before the start of this season but a deal could not be agreed.
Nonetheless, he is admired by Jose Mourinho. The Chelsea boss is said to have named the 25-year-old as one of his top targets when he returned to Stamford Bridge at the start of the summer.
It looks like he has now beaten the likes of Barcelona and AC Milan to secure his arrival next year.
The Argentina international joined Porto from Velez Sarsfeld for £3.5m in 2010. The club is said to have accepted that they will lose him at the end of this season.
