England will attempt to snatch Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson from Wales if he doesn’t feature against Belgium on Tuesday.
The 16-year-old was an unused substitute for the game against Macedonia on Friday. He will against be in the squad for the World Cup qualifier against Belgium.
If he plays, he will become the youngest ever Wales international – breaking Gareth Bale’s record – and commit his international future to them.
But if he remains on the bench, the FA will reportedly attempt to convince him to represent England.
Wilson, born in Wrexham to Welsh parents, qualifies for Roy Hodgson’s side through an English grandparent and Wales are concerned that he will be lured to play for them.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Harry has been with us since the age of 12 but England are chasing him.”
