Out-of-favour Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha will not be joining Fulham on loan in January, according to Cottagers boss Martin Jol.
The England international has failed to break into David Moyes’ first-team plans at Old Trafford and is now set to make a loan move in the new year.
Fulham were one of a number of teams linked with the 20-year-old, but Jol says the former Crystal Palace youngster won’t be joining his his squad.
He said: “No. He did very well actually in pre-season so there was no reason to make an enquiry about him. I feel that, on the flank, we are OK. We’ve got five or six… a few options.
“I told [Ashkan Dejagah] a couple of weeks ago, ‘I want you to be the number-one’ but of course I want Duffers [Damien Duff] to be the number one, I want Bryan [Ruiz] to be the number one.”
