Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil is expected to be fit for this weekend’s game against Norwich despite hobbling off during Germany’s game against Sweden last night.
The £42.4m record signing had to be substituted after picking up a knock to his knee. That immediately prompted to concern among Gooners that the former Real Madrid man would be ruled out of their forthcoming matches.
But the German Football Association said there were no injury issues before they sent him back to London, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The 25-year-old will be assessed when he returns to Arsenal training tomorrow, but it is hoped those tests will show that he is available for selection for Saturday’s game.
Santi Cazorla and Theo Walcott are also expected to return from injury lay-offs against the Canaries.
