Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is considering a raid on former club Chelsea to sign midfielder Ramires.
With former Real Sociedad star Asier Illarramendi not yet cutting the mustard at the Bernabeu and Xabi Alonso out injured, Ancelotti is keen to bolster his options in the centre of the park.
Ramires was brought to Stamford Bridge by Ancelotti and he is still a keen admirer of the box-to-box midfielder’s abilities.
The Blues are not looking to sell the former Benfica fan, who is a regular starter under Jose Mourinho. They could slap an asking price of at least £30m on his head in a bid to ward off Real’s interest, according to Caught Offside.
