Cardiff City have made an enquiry about taking Wilfried Zaha on loan from Manchester United.
The former Crystal Palace youngster has struggled to secure first-team action under David Moyes this season, and the United boss has made it clear that he will consider sending the England international out on loan if he is still out of the team in January.
The Daily Mail reports that Cardiff manager Malky Mackay wants to offer Zaha regular Premier League playing time and that an approach has already been made.
Zaha is believed to want a loan move to give him the best possible chance of forcing his way back into the England senior setup ahead of the World Cup.
The 20-year-old fired Crystal Palace to the Premier League last season, first as an Eagles player and then returning on loan after signing for United in January.
But he is yet to make his Premier League debut for the champions.
Moyes has previously admitted: “We have to try to make sure he gets some playing time.
“Unfortunately, we haven’t done that with Wilf and, if it’s still the case in January, we would look at it.”
