Luis Enrique and Swansea boss Michael Laudrup linked with Tottenham manager’s job
Former Roma boss Luis Enrique is reported to be Tottenham’s top target to become their new manager – if they decide to sack Andre Villas Boas.
The ex-Spain international, now in charge at Celta Vigo, has previously worked with Spurs director of football Franco Baldini and the north London club have plans to reunite the pair, according to the Daily Mail.
Enrique, aged 43, was Barcelona B coach for three years during Pep Guardiola’s time with the Catalan giants and was being groomed for the top job before he opted to move to Serie A.
The reports claim that Swansea boss Michael Laudrup will also be considered if Villas Boas gets the chop.
The Portuguese boss says he is only under pressure from the media.
He said: “I am immune right now. I used to read a lot into situations like this but not any more.
“I am very indifferent. There is only one quarter that I come under pressure from, which is the press. I have the confidence of the board [and] of my players.”
