Demba Ba’s stint at Chelsea is set to come to an end in January – just a year after his arrival from Newcastle.
The Senegal international does not appear to be favoured by new Blues boss Jose Mourinho and that is unlikely to change if Fernando Torres’ recent resurgence continues.
The 28-year-old is now being linked with a £7m to Valencia.
Chelsea refused to send Ba on loan to rivals Arsenal in the summer, but would be happy with a deal that saw them break even and the striker move to a foreign club.
Valencia want to bolster their own strikeforce, and Ba has an impressive goalscoring record from his time with Hoffenheim, West Ham and Newcastle.
