West Ham manager Sam Allardyce says stopping Liverpool getting decent service to Luis Suarez will be key to his side’s hope of success at Anfield tomorrow.
The Hammers come up against Suarez after his four-goal haul versus Norwich on Wednsday evening. And Allardyce knows they will have their work cut out to keep him quiet.
He told his pre-match press conference: “Luis Suarez is the man isn’t he? As many good players as Liverpool have – he is still proving to be the main man to turn a game.
“We have to take up the challenge to try and nullify that great talent.
“We have to stop the sort of service he needs. He’s beginning to be one of the best (in Premier League history). His goal-scoring on top of his excellent ability to pick the ball up and dribble past players.
“It comes from the commitment he shows, he’s always on the move and is a constant menace to defenders.”
