Chelsea join Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs in race for Inter’s Andrea Ranocchia
Chelsea are the latest Premier League side to join the battle for Inter Milan centre-back Andrea Ranocchia.
The Italy international, aged 25, has seen his first-team chances limited since Walter Mazzarri took charge at Inter. Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham had already been linked with January moves for the defender.
Now, the Daily Star reports that the Blues are also interested as Jose Mourinho seeks to tighten up his defence.
But the player himself is dismissing talk of a transfer.
He said: “Many silly things have been written about me, that I am unhappy and I want to leave.
“I am just thinking about this shirt and paying back the fans for the affection they have for me.”
Ranocchia could be in the Italy side that faces England in Manaus in next summer’s World Cup clash.
