Manchester United are in talks with Cruzeiro star Everton Ribeiro, according to his agent.
Ribeiro has recently talked up a potential “dream” move to Old Trafford and United were reported to be interested, but rivals Liverpool are also keen to sign the midfielder.
That’s not the case according to agent Robson Ferreira, who says he has travelled to the UK to hold talks with United.
He said: “Manchester United want him.
“David Moyes has been impressed. I’ve already been to England and talked personally with them.
“In United’s opinion, he is the complete midfielder.”
The 24-year-old has recently been named as the Brazilian league’s player of the year and is tipped for an international call-up ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
Despite Cruzeiro claiming that their prized asset is not available, United could launch a £15m bid for him in the January transfer window as they seek to bolster their midfield options.
