Arsenal are considering an improved bid for Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann after reportedly having a £12m bid rejected.
According to the Spanish media, the Gunners had an initial bid turned down yesterday. Although they thought that their opening offer would be enough to secure the deal, they are now weighing up a bid closer to Sociedad’s £24m asking price.
Whether Arsene Wenger would be prepared to go that high remains to be seen, but the 22-year-old winger is reported to be one of his top transfer targets for the current window, particularly since losing Theo Walcott for the rest of the season.
The former France Under-21 international has scored 12 goals in 16 games so far this season.
