Italian veteran Alberto Gilardino is reportedly a transfer target for West Ham.
Reports in Italy claim Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is still looking to add another striker do his squad, despite the return to fitness of Andy Carroll.
Allardyce wanted to sign Gilardino on loan last summer but was unable to finalise a deal. But the Forza Italiana website suggests that he is planning a fresh move for the former AC Milan and Fiorentina man.
The 31-year-old was reportedly being lined up to become Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe’s strike partner at Toronto, but he rejected a move to the MLS side.
Gilardino has been capped 57 times by Italy and scored 19 goals.
