Fulham ‘sack Alan Curbishley and Ray Wilkins’
Fulham have sacked Alan Curbishley and Ray Wilkins, according to reports.
Sky Sports News claims that the pair have both had their short stints at Craven Cottage brought to an end.
Technical director Curbishley and assistant head coach Ray Wilkins were brought in to work alongside former manager Rene Meulensteen, who was sacked over the weekend.
At that stage the Cottagers said an announcement would be made about the futures of Meulensteen’s backroom staff, and the indications are that Curbishley and Wilkins have been relieved of their duties.
Former Chelsea assistant boss Wilkins was appointed on December 30, with Curbishley starting his role a week earlier.
Fulham had suggested that incoming boss Felix Magath would decide which members of Meulensteen’s staff would be retained at the club, and even hinted that Meulensteen himself could stay on as a coach if Magath wanted him.
